One of Kent’s premier cru public relations companies, Maxim, is sponsoring the Best Kentish Wines category in the 2008 Taste of Kent Awards.
Voting is now taking place online for the awards, which are run by Produced in Kent to celebrate the best of the county’s food and drink producers and hospitality industry.
Andrew Metcalf, director at Tunbridge Wells-based Maxim, said: “We are used to telling the world about the success stories of our clients – such as the CBI, Business Link, Clydesdale Bank and Visit Kent – so we are delighted to pop a cork in celebration of the county’s growing wine region, as sponsors in the annual Taste of Kent awards.”
To qualify entrants need to produce wine made from grapes predominantly grown in Kent at a vineyard based in the county.
Andrew added: “We’re expecting to see some outstanding entries from what is becomingly an internationally respected British industry, and are delighted to be associated with the awards and wish all the nominees the best of luck.”
To vote for your favourite wine producer visit www.kentishfare.co.uk before the deadline of December 31. There are a dozen categories to vote in, including Kent Pub of the Year and Kent Food Producer of the Year.
