Doing Something Funny for Money
Maxim worked alongside East Kent shopping and leisure centre, Westwood Cross, for Red Nose Day.

We were able to use our extensive local contacts in the media, and, as a result Westwood Cross played host to BBC Radio Kent and BBC South East, gaining coverage to boost its fundraising entertainment.

Tracie Stevens, marketing manager for Westwood Cross, said: “It was a fantastic effort on behalf of Maxim and the staff here at Westwood Cross. They really pulled out all the stops and when the BBC came we had all kinds of stunts going on, from Sainsbury’s staff sitting in a bath of custard to karaoke, keep fit sessions and ballroom dancing through the shopping centre.

“An event such as this requires team work, and that’s what we got. And I am delighted to report that around £1,000 was raised for Red Nose Day from our shoppers and Westwood Cross staff.”
