Manston Airport welcomes world’s largest passenger plane

On this day in 2013, Manston Airport welcomed the world’s largest passenger plane – the Airbus A380. Thanks to the length of the runway, the plane was able to use the airport for landing and take-off training ahead of it going into service for British Airways in 2016 as part of a £5bn investment.
