Adventure golf comes to Rochester Cathedral

On this day: 1 August 2019

Keeping children entertained during the school holidays can be an expensive challenge for families. Entertaining them with something educational is even harder. Which is why a free activity for all the family – aimed at inspiring the next generation of civil engineers – was chosen as a community event for the Rochester Bridge Trust to host.

The activity was bridge-themed adventure golf, and it was being provided in the Nave of Rochester Cathedral. The event was an incredibly popular community activity, with tens of thousands of people visiting during the month-long activity. It was a clear hole in one achievement for anyone who visited.

The unusual nature of the event prompted national and international media coverage, and kept Maxim busy managing interviews and ensuring the message of education, engineering and community was shared.
