Alison calls time on the world of PR

January, 2020

After twenty-five years with leading PR agency Maxim, account director Alison Hardy is retiring.

The former Daily Mail journalist was the Tunbridge Wells-based company’s first employee, joining directors Philip Jones and Andrew Metcalf only months after Maxim was founded in 1995.

Over the years she has worked on many accounts, including food and drink companies, tourist attractions, professional practices, vineyards – where she oversaw the launch of the Manchester United champagne – and many others.

During the whole of that time she led the PR account for Liberty Property Trust, developer of Kings Hill.

“I have loved my time in PR but the time has come to move on to other things,” she said. “I have seen so many changes in the way we communicate our clients’ messages which has been incredibly exciting – if not hard to keep up with!”

Philip Jones added: “Alison has been a wonderful colleague and friend over the past quarter of a century. Her expertise was instrumental in helping to get Maxim established and she’ll be very much missed by all of us.

“We wish her all the best for the future and a very happy retirement with her husband, children and growing number of grandchildren.”

Maxim offers a wide range of services including media relations, public affairs, crisis communications, community engagement, marketing and corporate communications.
