Maxim is inviting neighbours, clients, contacts and friends to join them for a cake in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The charity is a lifeline for people living with cancer, offering vital support to patients and their families and friends and coffee mornings are a fun way to raise funds.
Erica Jones, Account Director at Maxim, explained: “My family has first-hand experience of the good work Macmillan does, and so I’m keen to raise funds and awareness to support them.
“This coffee morning – or cake morning as I’m thinking of it – is part of my broader fundraising campaign as I train for the London Marathon next April. I’m grateful to Maxim for supporting this and to Regus, the managers of our building, for allowing us to invite people round to enjoy some cake.”
The event takes place between 10.30am and 11.30am on Wednesday, 4 October, on the ground floor of Regus in Pluto House, 6 Vale Avenue, Tunbridge Wells. Everyone is welcome to pop in for some cake in exchange for a voluntary donation.
To ensure we provide enough cake it would be helpful if people could RSVP to erica@maxim-pr.co.uk but until the cake runs out, no one will be turned away.
Erica continued: “The Maxim team will be providing a selection of baked goodies for people to enjoy. Baking isn’t my strong point, so while there will be something from my own kitchen, I’ve cheated and will have a couple of cakes from nearby Juliet’s – so be sure to arrive early unless you’re brave enough to sample my creation!”
