Grant tops polls in General Election prediction competition

May, 2015

It wasn't just the pollsters who were caught out when it came to predicting the outcome of the General Election. It’s clear that many people in Kent found it difficult to call if the results of Maxim’s recent competition are anything to go by.

Only five people who entered Kent PR and public affairs agency Maxim’s ‘General Election’ competition correctly predicted which party would win each of the 17 seats up for grabs in Kent.

After seeing a retweet about the competition, Grant Cooper entered and successfully predicted that the Conservatives would win all the seats, including keeping Nigel Farage out of Thanet South.

He then went on to be the closest when it came to answering the tie-breaker and estimating the number of seats each party would win.

If you need any advice on the current political make-up of Kent and what it might mean for your business over the next five years, give the team at Maxim a call. You can also take a look at our case studies involving public affairs to get a better idea of what we do.

A case of Chapel Down wine will be winging its way to Grant’s home near Tonbridge very shortly.

Well done, Grant.
