July, 2015

The inaugural Kent Press & Broadcast Awards were a resounding success, now the trophies have been presented Kent PR agency Maxim can reveal the winners.

Launched in November last year and organised by Maxim, the awards attracted almost 150 entries from 100 individuals from the newspaper, magazine, broadcast and digital sectors.

An independent panel of judges, all with Kent connections and made up of Susie Boniface, aka Fleet Street Fox; Haymarket’s Patrick Fuller; journalist and lecturer Dr Sarah Lonsdale; and award-winning TV producer Martyn Gregory, chose the winners.

“Our judges had a tough job, because of both the sheer number of entries and the high quality evident across the board,” said Philip Jones of Maxim.

“The ceremony was a wonderful celebration of all that is good about local journalism in Kent and we offer our congratulations to all the winners and finalists.”
